Welcome to the Rockville Campus of Montgomery College
Vibrant, industrious, and innovative…these words describe our wonderful campus. As Vice President and Provost of the largest of the three Montgomery College campuses, I am very proud to have college-wide leadership for the ABEESS Unit made up of 12 academic departments. The Rockville Campus also houses student support centers and special programs including the Macklin Business Institute, the Marriott Hospitality Center, the Montgomery Scholars Program, the Paul Peck Humanities Institute, and the Robert E. Parilla Performing Arts Center. Centrally located in the City of Rockville, each semester we welcome more than 16,000 students from over 170 countries who attend credit courses and thousands more who attend our Workforce Development and Continuing education WDCE classes.
A stroll around our expansive campus will reveal a wide array of services and facilities including a state-of-the art Science Complex with more than 200,000 square feet for instruction. The Science Complex offers new projection systems for digital lecture/screen capture, a café style classroom for interactive learning, student research labs, computer-equipped math labs, science labs, student lounge and study areas, conference rooms, STEM departmental offices, and a 105-seat Math Emporium which is a computer laboratory engineered for developmental mathematics. Construction is also underway to renovate Science West, and design work is underway for the North Parking Garage and in the near future for the new Student Services building.
If you are looking to get involved, the Student Life office on the Rockville Campus has a vibrant program featuring intentional learning opportunities that promote individual growth, leadership development, and community engagement. Each semester students organize more than 50 clubs. I encourage you to join or start a club of your choosing.
If you would like academic support, Rockville Campus offers tutoring at the Writing, Reading and Language Center and the Math/Science Center. Open Computer Labs are available to support your work in many courses. In addition, the Library collaborates with the College and campus community to provide resources and services that support student success.
Music, art, and theatre are hallmarks on the Rockville campus. The campus houses vibrant visual and performing arts programs. The Robert E. Parilla Performing Arts Center hosts numerous cultural events and students and Campus visitors can attend gallery exhibits, concerts, and dance performances.
If you are athletically inclined or interested in keeping fit, try out for men’s or women’s Raptor sports teams, sign up for an intramural
sport, or come out to cheer your teams!
How can we serve you? Please take time to visit our campus and learn more about us and our programs.
