Montgomery College partners with the State Administration on Skills2Compete - Maryland, a major initiative aimed at increasing the skills and competetiveness of Maryland's workforce. Montgomery College has more than 150 credit and noncredit programs which help prepare students for middle-skill jobs (those with more than a high school diploma, but less than a four-year degree) which are the backbone of the state's economy, making up half of Maryland's labor market. These programs may lead to industry certification and credentialing, college certificates, and college degrees.
