Participants will read a fictionalized memoir; a novel; a selection of poetry, including dramatic monologue; short stories; and will explore a plan. In a cafe setting where lively discussion will predominate over a lecture format, participants will begin with an overview of literary genres and their key elements; narrative voice, point of view, tone, language, and character.
