This course series consisting of 5 non-credit courses with 150 hours of training will provide you with the basic knowledge and skills needed for an entry-level position in a veterinary hospital.

Courses must be taken in order and upon successful completion of all the courses, you will receive a Continuing Education Certificate. The Training is approved and supported as a formal training for persons working in a supportive position to veterinary technicians and veterinarians by the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association.

Professional Pet or Dog Training Program

New: Professional Pet/Dog Training Program

Do you love dogs? Do you want to work in the growing pet industry? Then this 120-hour training program, in 4 modules, may be just the right fit for you. In this program you will be introduced to the pet/dog training industry and what it takes to succeed, enjoy, and fulfill the dream of working wit dogs and their owners. Subjects covered will include breed identification, evaluating dogs, building a training plan, introduction to common training tools, obedience training and confidence building. This program will give you the tools to prepare you as an employee in the pet/dog training industry or to eventually run your own business.

This course is being taught by Andrew Fraser, owner of Dogizone Rockville, Maryland. Mr. Fraser is recognized as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer by the International Association of Canine Professionals, a Pet Tech First Aid and CPR instructor as well as a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.
