This is the 36 hour MVA Maryland State Required Course, 30 hours classroom and 6 hours behind the wheel (BTW). *We try our best to conclude BTW sessions by course end, although we cannot guarantee it. BTW sessions are scheduled throughout the course, not necessarily the same day or time as the classroom sessions.

A parent or guardian must attend the first session with the student if the student is under 18. Also students are required to bring their learners permit to the first class.

Driver Education - Learning Disabled SFT047

This is a special class for students with moderate learning disabilities. It fulfills the MVA Driver Education required 30 classroom hours plus 6 hours behind the wheel driving. This is co-taught with a Special Education Instructor. Additional documentation pertaining to the student's disability is required to ensure the student's suitability for this class. Call 240-567-1895 for more information. A parent or guardian must attend the first session with the student. Also students are required to bring their learners permit to the first class.

Preparing for the Maryland Learner Permit test can be challenging for many students, especially those with learning disabilities. This class is open to all, although it was designed specifically to support students with mild to moderate learning disabilities.
