Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® Certification Track

The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® certification is designed for individuals looking to get into project management, entry level project managers or those with less than 3 years’ experience in project team experience and project management.

A CAPM® Certification can help you move forward in a career in project management and get you on the path towards potentially obtaining the Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification.

Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® Certification Track at MC:

For those who have less than 6 months to 1 year of project team experience and no Project Management training, the course sequence is:

  1. Project Management Fundamentals, PMC-019see course description . *for individuals with more than 1 year of project team experience and previous project management training, this course may be waived.
  1. A Practical Approach to Project Management – PMC-013see course description
  2. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® Exam Prep-PMC-002,   see course description

If you far exceed the experience and training you see above, you may qualify for the Project Management Professional (PMP) ® certification.

CAPM® Preparation

Our CAPM® Certification Prep is designed to prepare individuals for the Exam. Candidates must meet the PMI requirements, agree to a professional code of conduct, and pass the CAPM® Exam. To see the requirements for the CAPM®, please view the information below:

CAPM® Prerequisites

You must provide information on your application meeting one of the prerequisite channels:

  • First Prerequisite Channel:
    • Secondary Degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent), AND 1500 hours of project experience
  • Second Prerequisite Channel:
    • 23 hours of project management education completed by the time you sit for the exam
CAPM® Exam Details

Format of Exam:

  • 150 multiple choice questions
  • Must complete the exam in 3 hours

The price to sit for an exam is:

  • For PMI Members: US$ 225.00
  • For PMI non-members: US$ 300.00

Recertification: To maintain the CAPM, you must retake the exam every five (5) years.
