Q: What are the A P Institute dates for 2014?
A: June 24, 2014 through June 27, 2014, except for two classes June 30 to July 3, check schedule for details.
Q: What are the hours of the A P Summer Institute?
A: The program is from Tuesday - Friday | 8:30am - 5:00pm | 4 sessions | 30 hours
Q: How can I pay?
A: There are several option for payment, please see all options available at Registration Information
Q: If I pay by check, to whom do I make it out?
A: Please make checks payable to Montgomery College
Q: If I live outside of Maryland, but work in Maryland do I have to pay the out of state fee?
A: If your employer will complete and sign the Business and Industry Agreement, the out of state fee will be waived. You must present the completed, signed B & I Agreement along with your registration form at the time of registration.
Q: What happens if I cannot attend for some reason? Do I get a refund?
A: Refunds will be paid at 100% for courses administratively canceled or dropped on or before the Refund Date printed on your registration confirmation. For further information and specific details visit Refund Policy.
Q: May I receive a refund if I am a "no show" at the A P Institute?

Q: How do I know if I am registered?
A: You should receive a confirmation from Montgomery College prior to the Institute. If you have not received one, please call us at 240-567-5188. Please do not assume that you are registered if you have not hear from us officially.
Q: Can I register now and pay later?
A: No, payment must be made IN FULL at the time of registration to avoid being deleted from the course. Complete information is required to process all registrations and payments. Further information about payment may be found at Registration /Payment Options.
Q: Where are the APSI classes held?
A: There are two locations this summer. Many of the classes are held at Montgomery College's Gaithersburg Business Training Center (see map), other classes are held on the Rockville Campus in the Science East Building (see map).
Q: May I drive every day to the Institute?
A: If you are local, you may drive daily to the Institute, parking is available at both the Gaithersburg and Rockville locations. If you are coming from a distance, airport and hotel information is provided below.

Q: What should I wear?
A: There is no dress code for the Institute. Weather in Maryland tends to be hot and humid during this time of the year. Past participants have suggested bringing a sweater for air-conditioned classrooms. Note: If you are taking a science class with a lab, you must wear closed toe shoes in the lab.
Q: What should I bring?
A: Most instructors ask that you bring copies of a lesson plan to share. A laptop is not required but many feel it is good to bring one to open documents and to use email. Campus locations have WI-FI connection.
Q: Will lunch be provided?
A: Lunch will be provided. Please note that no food or drink is allowed in computer classrooms or labs.
Q: Is it permissible to leave for home early on Friday, the last day?
A: We ask that you don't. Thirty hours are required by the College Board®. Montgomery College will issue a Certificate of Completion upon completion of the entire course.
