The CLEP Test
The College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP) gives students the opportunity to receive college credit for what they already know by earning qualifying scores on any of the 33 exams that are offered. These exams test knowledge in the areas of Composition and Literature, Foreign Languages, History and Social Sciences, Science and Mathematics, and Business. You can find out which exams will transfer for credit at Montgomery College by viewing CLEP Exams & MC Equivalencies or contacting the transcript evaluator on your campus. See Admissions and Records for contact information for the transcript evaluator on your campus.
Visit Register for the CLEP Test for information on how to register, forms, costs, test dates, location.
When you take a CLEP exam, select Montgomery College as the institution who will receive CLEP test scores. If you already took an exam without selecting Montgomery College, request a CLEP transcript by completing the Transcript Request Form from the College Board. Mail the form with your $20.00 payment to the address for CLEP that is indicated on the form, or call 800-257-9558 if ordering with a credit card.
Visit the official College Board / CLEP site: http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/clep/about.html to learn more about the CLEP tests.
