Policies at Montgomery College are adopted by the Board of Trustees to serve as guidelines to chart a course of action to be applied in deciding on or in dealing with a given set of circumstances. Policies are normally general guidelines but they may contain considerable detail.
Procedures are issued by the College President or designated College staff and set forth action steps required to carry out a Board policy and/or a standard method for implementing actions.
