WELCOME! To the Interfaith Community Service Partnership Website
In 2011, the White House launched the President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge, inviting higher education institutions to commit to a year of interfaith and community service on their respective campuses. Interfaith service involves people from different religious and non-religious backgrounds addressing community challenges together. In response to the invitation, Montgomery College accepted the challenge. Building upon the College’s existing projects and programs, as well as introducing some additional opportunities, the College put forth its plan entitled "Montgomery College Partnerships for Interfaith and Community Service." The College’s plan targets domestic and international poverty service initiatives and connects the college community through various education and communication engagement initiatives. These efforts involve the partnership and participation of various offices, departments, community groups, and student organizations and programs. Should you wish to learn more about this initiative and how you may get involved, please contact Dr. Clemmie Solomon, Takoma Park/Silver Spring dean of student development at firstname.lastname@example.org or 240-567-1469.
