ART, DIGITAL ART & ANIMATION, MUSIC, AND THEATRE
The Germantown Art Department offers a variety of interdisciplinary, foundation-level courses. Students can earn general-studies credits as they learn some of the history and techniques of the Visual Arts, Music, or Theatre in lecture-format courses such as Art Appreciation (AR127), The History of Art (AR107/108), or Listening to Music (MU110).
For a more hands-on experience students may try a studio course such as Drawing (AR101), Color Theory Application (AR105), or Fundamentals of Acting (TH109). The department also regularly sponsors additional activities on campus including Art Exhibitions, Artist Talks, and other performances.
Members of our faculty are experts in their fields, available to help students outside of the classroom, in transfers to four-year universities, job searches, and portfolio presentations.
We are a committed and growing department with the philosophy that art and humanities are the building blocks for every person to progress and become successful in life.
