MC Foundation

What We Do

The Montgomery College Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization governed by business, alumni and community leaders to enhance the work of Montgomery College to a level of excellence comparable to the finest colleges and universities across the country.  Through advocacy, influence, and financial support, these volunteer leaders work to ensure understanding of and commitment to the community college philosophy of opportunity, inclusion, and educational achievement for all.

  • The Montgomery College Foundation Board of Directors broadly represents the business, professional, and academic community.  It establishes policies for the Foundation which echoes the vision of the College’s President and the Board of Trustees.
  • In accordance to the Chronicle of Higher Education, Montgomery College ranks among the top five community colleges in the country relative to  philanthropic giving and is listed among the prestigious ranks of colleges and universities across the country relative to total endowment size.

How We are Funded

State and County funding help Montgomery College to continue to provide excellence in educational and training programs—but private contributions from local businesses, foundations, community leaders, and alumni have helped to create premier programs in the arts, humanities, business, and biotech areas, which rival those among the country’s most elite colleges and universities.
