DELT Orientations for Fall 2010
Registration for Fall 2010 orientation to distance education is up!
You are invited to attend one of the sessions. Topics covered will be how to get started in distance education, what you need to know, etc.
Please go to DELT Orientation Information and Registration, or click on DE Orientation Options on the left-hand menu under After You Register for more information.
Also, orientation dates for students who are planning to take EN101 and EN102 in the Fall are up. Click on EN101/102 Orientations link for more information.
Tammy Peery - MDLA Distance Educator of the Year

Montgomery College Professor Tammy Peery, English department chair at Germantown, has been named the Distance Educator of the Year (Higher Education) by the Maryland Distance Learning Association. Professor Peery was recognized for her achievements at the annual MDLA spring conference on March 4.

Summer and Fall 2010 DELT Course Listings
The DELT Course Listings for Summer and Fall 2010 are up! Please click on the DELT Course Listing link under QUICK LINKS to view them.
To view the full Montgomery College 2010 schedule pages, please go here, http://www.montgomerycollege.edu/credit.
Registration for Summer will begin on April 5th for Online Registration, while In-Person Registration will begin on April 12th. Fall Online Registration begins on April 26th, while In-Person Registration begins on May 10th.
BrowseAloud Information
BrowseAloud is free software that reads Montgomery College web pages aloud. It can help anyone who has difficulty reading online, including people with mild visual impairments, low literacy, English as a second language, or learning disabilities, such as dyslexia.

DELT offers an online assessment tool called READI to help you test your readiness for taking online courses. Please go to ARE YOU READI? to begin the assessment.
Additional information about courses such as requirements, textbooks, and contact information is provided by the faculty on the new Course Information Page.
Accessing Online Courses
- Log in to MyMC. (For assistance, click New to MyMC under the login box.)
- After logging in to MyMC, click on the WebCT icon in the upper right-hand corner.
- This will take you to My WebCT, which will list your course if it has been made available.
- Click on the course title.
- All courses will be available no later than the first day of the semester. Email your instructor with questions.
Important Note
Some online courses at Montgomery College are not delivered on WebCT.
