Chapter 1607: Reserve Educational Assistance Program 

The Reserve Educational Assistance Program [REAP] is available to all Reservists called or ordered to active duty in response to a war or national emergency (contingency operation) as declared by the President or Congress. This program makes certain reservists who were activated for at least 90 days after September 11, 2001 are either eligible for education benefits or eligible for increased benefits. 

 

Apply for REAP:

All students wishing to apply for REAP should follow the Steps to Process VA Education Benefits.

If you are already eligible for other VA Education Benefits and wish to enroll into REAP:

1. Complete and submit VA form 22-1995 to the VA. Note that you wish to use REAP. 

2. Submit all copies of DD 214s and copies of all orders for the period(s) you plan on claiming to the VA. 

3. Refer to the Steps to Proccess VA Education Benefits for further enrollment instructions.

Note: All students wishing to enroll into VA Education Benefits at Montgomery College must submit a Certification Request for VA Benefits to the VA Coordinator.
