F-1 Student Visa or Status and the I-20 Form
  • Montgomery College is authorized to issue the SEVIS I-20 form, “Certificate of Eligibility for Non-immigrant student status.”
  • The following links explain the procedures for requesting a SEVIS I-20.   SEVIS is the Student/Exchange Visitor Information System that allows a school to create a form I-20 "Certificate of Eligibility".  The I-20 (data and printed form) provides the information needed from the school for a student to apply to the United States government for a student visa for entry into the United States or Student Status within the United States.

NOTES:  The deadlines for requesting SEVIS I-20s are much earlier than for academic admission.

                Applicants must meet all requirements to receive an I-20.  No "provisional" or "conditional" I-20 can be issued.
