Welcome to Germantown Campus
As the acting vice president and provost of the Germantown Campus at Montgomery College, and on behalf of the 500 campus faculty, staff, and administrators, welcome to our website. If you have not been here for awhile, use the menu on the left to explore and see what has changed. The Germantown Campus is home to more than 7,400 students who take courses offered by outstanding faculty in two academic divisions, as well as student development courses offered by our counselling faculty in Student Services.
The Business, Science, Mathematics, and Technology Division (BSMAT) houses the campus’ signature biotechnolgy and cybersecurity programs, as well as engineering and paralegal studies. Join us for a Spectrum Lecture, where guest scientists, engineers, and mathematicians offer a lively look at their research and the problems they tackle.
The Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education Division (HSSE) provides rich academic offerings from anthropology to women’s studies, including an expanding array of world languages. HSSE sponsors the Frank Islam Athenaeum Symposia, a vibrant series of performances and lectures. All are welcome! In addition, the College’s Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and the Office of Distance Education and Learning (DELT) are housed on this campus.
I am honored to be serving in this role and look forward to working with the campus community and the greater Germantown community to continue the more than 30 years of achievement and partnership. We are anticipating an exciting year as we prepare to open the new Bioscience Education Center, as well as welcome the new Holy Cross Germantown Hospital in 2014. We anticipate each day with excitement, knowing that we empower students to change their lives.
Thank you for visiting us online. I hope you are able to stroll through the beautiful Germantown campus soon.
