Greetings and welcome to the Montgomery College Office of Equity and Diversity website.
The mission of the Office of Equity and Diversity (OED) is assuring that the College maintains academic and non-academic environments and a campus climate responsive to the needs of its diverse students, faculty, staff, and community constituents. This mission is actualized by the office providing the College’s leadership for achieving access, equity, diversity, and nondiscrimination. By reporting directly to the president and through the chief equity and diversity officer, the office participates as a leadership partner for successfully achieving and managing institutional diversity. In order to do so, the office establishes multiple goals that enable facilitating, supporting, coordinating, and serving as an advocate for the development and delivery of compliance, educational, social, and cultural programs, initiatives, and activities that align with the overall College mission, vision and strategic goals and objectives.
This website is an online resource that provides direct access to the Board of Trustees’ Equal Employment and Education Compliance policies and procedures and related forms. These policies and procedures articulate Montgomery College’s commitment to providing an environment in which all persons are provided the opportunity for employment, participation in academic programs, and/or other college activities free from discrimination, any form of harassment as prohibited by federal regulations and state law, and sexual assault.
The website also provides information about the office’s current and upcoming diversity events, initiatives and activities; easy access to the links of federal and state EEO compliance agencies, regulations and guidelines; and links to an array of diversity related resources. The office of Equity and Diversity staff is always available to assist you with access, equity and diversity related matters and issues. We feel certain that you will discover this site to be a helpful and informative resource.
