About the Sarah Silberman Art Gallery

The Sarah Silberman Art Gallery is an educational resource of the Rockville Art Department. It's primary function is to augment, enhance, and promote the teaching and understanding of art through a diverse program of changing exhibitions, benefiting the college and the public.  Gallery Schedule

The Gallery is located on the second floor of the Paul Peck Art Building on the Rockville Campus, one block west of Route 355 at 51 Mannakee Street. Gallery hours during exhibitions are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. (except for college holidays). View Rockville Campus Map

Artist Talk: Tuesday February 10, 12:00 PM in the gallery.

Workshop “Mapping Home” Friday February 20, 1:00 PM, In this workshop, students will learn about psycho-geographical concepts - a field that combines psychology and geography, and explore the idea of "home". We'll examine the way artists encode meaning into shapes, colors, marks, and other visual elements  We will then create a collaborative drawing that will be on display in the Sarah Silberman gallery. 


Out/break is a collection of visual commentary by national artists responding to the radical shifts and implications of "normality" as experienced in LGBTQA culture in the mainstream. Curated by professors Robin Meyer and Molly Marie Nuzzo
