LA Bio

A Learning Assistant (LA) is an undergraduate student who is embedded in a STEM classroom to provide extra support for the students in the class.  LAs serve as a peer models, guiding students through in-class problem-solving exercises in small collaborative learning groups or on an individual basis, assisting students in a class or laboratory setting in partnership with faculty mentors.  LAs also have the opportunity to present mini-lectures during class as well as to lead study and review sessions for the students outside of class.

♦  LAs are paired one-on-one to work with a faculty mentor to assist in a STEM course throughout the semester.
