Residency Policy for Students Taking Credit Courses
At Montgomery College, there are three tuition rates: in-county, in-state and out of state.
Your tuition rate is based on your residency classification and determined upon Admission. For more information, see Appendix A, page. 453 of the 2013-2014 MC Catalog.
Changes to residency may occur when you update your information.
Appealing Your Residency Status
If there is an error in your residency classification, you may appeal, in writing, to the campus registrar. Appeals must be accompanied by appropriate evidence of your actual residence.
Your appeal must be received before the end of the third week of classes in the fall and spring semesters, and the first week of summer and winter terms. Any changes received after these deadlines will be effective the following semester.
