Book Credits for Spring 2016

The financial aid office has started posting the spring 2016 Book vouchers.  Follow the instructions below to find out if you are eligible for a book voucher.

On the MyMC home page select the Student Financial Aid Tab  on the top of the page. 
  • Under Manage Your Account, select Financial Aid Awards.
  • Then select 2015-16 from the “Select Aid Year” drop down and click submit.
  • Check General Information tab for book credit related message.  
Remember if you become ineligible for any of your financial aid currently awarded, you will be responsible for charges not covered.

Financial Literacy Session Information

Financial Aid Loan Borrowers:

We have one more Financial Literacy Session for first time loan borrowers  in December, on Tuesday, the 15th, at  5:00 p.m. in CM 211 at TP/SS.  Our January sessions will begin as early as the 4th of January, 2016.  We encourage you to reserve a seat using www.signupgenius.com.  Sign up instructions are on the flyer. Attendance at a Financial Literacy session is required for all students who anticipate borrowing from the federal loan programs (Federal Direct Loans and/or Federal Perkins Loans) if you are a new student at Montgomery College (MC) or if you are a first time borrower at MC.  Plan to attend one of the 90 minute sessions held on one of the three campus locations.   Please be on time.  The doors will close 5 minutes after the presentation is scheduled to start.  Funds will not disburse to the new borrower account unless this requirement is met.  Contact Disability Support Services if you need accommodations. View the May 2015  dates and locations (PDF 254 KB).

The Financial Aid Offices will be closed on Thursday, March 12, 2015 for a college-wide meeting. The offices will reopen on Friday, March 13, 2015.

Scholarship Opportunity for Maryland Residents of District 17

Do you live in Maryland District 17?  (Parts of Rockville and Gaithersburg.)  Senator Cheryl C. Kagan is accepting scholarship applications for the spring semester.  Go to www.cherylkagan.org/scholarships/ to find out if you qualify and to download a scholarship application.  Financial need and completion of the 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are required for this state-funded scholarship.
