Policy and Procedure Modifications Feedback and Public Comment
As part of the Policies and Procedures review process, the page below was created to provide an opportunity for the College community to review and comment, where appropriate, on modifications that have been proposed to College Policies and Procedures. The modifications on this page have been recommended by the President's Executive Cabinet to the President for public comment. Please note that not all policy and procedure modifications are subject to public comment as some urgently needed proposals may have an expedited review prior to presidential approval. This page will be updated as new policy and/or procedure modifications are proposed.
There are currently three (3) items open for public comment:
- 39001-College Ombuds (Closes May 25, 2018)
- 61008/61008CP-Reporting Suspected Fiscal Irregularities and Fraud with Whistleblower Protections (Closes May 25, 2018)
- New Protection Against Retaliation Policy and Procedure (Closes May 25, 2018)

- 51005CP-Field Trips
- 69001CP-Corporate Sponsorships (new procedure)

The President has approved modifications to the following procedures:
January 24, 2018
The Board of Trustees has approved modifications to the following policies:
- 31105-Medical Examinations and Fitness for Duty (new policy)
- 51005-Field Trips (new policy)
- 69001-Corporate Sponsorships (new policy)
Details for all modifications approved and posted for any fiscal year can be found under "Policy and Procedure Modifications" located in the left menu bar.
Policies at Montgomery College are adopted by the Board of Trustees and serve as statements of principle to inform decision-making and the conduct of College activities.
Procedures are issued by the College President and set forth action steps required to carry out a Board policy and/or a standard method for implementing actions.
