What I like most about MC:  Its diverse, yet friendly, the hardworking and approachable faculty and staff plus its determined students, the size of the campuses, the quality of the facilities and welcoming nature of the Rockville Campus

Why I choose MC: It is one of the best Two Year Colleges in Maryland and I liked the staff and faculty who work tirelessly to create "Endless possibilities" for the students.

Advice to New Students:  Make the most of your first semester by getting good grades, a high GPA offers you more options when you decide to transfer to a four year school.  Get involved in activities and events on campus because they help build your experience and confidence/self-esteem: at the same time, don't forget your classes are your purpose of being at MC.  Ask for help when you feel like you need it, don't hesitate to make use of your professors office hours for help with classes and the well-trained Counselors and Faculty Advisors on campus

Reason for wanting to join the FYE: To help students in their first year with the transition of adjusting to college.  Share my experience with them by telling them what I wish I had known during my first semester at MC and most importantly,  to caution students just from high school that college has much more freedom, but it comes with a greater responsibility.

Transfer school: Georgetown University, University of Maryland-College Park
