New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation (NSO)

New Student Orientation (NSO) is designed to help students acclimate to the college environment and have a successful start at Montgomery College. Our goal is to answer your questions, connect you to campus resources, and help you capitalize on your college experience.  Through campus tours, interacting with our Orientation Leaders and providing you the foundation to a great start, you will quickly see why Montgomery College was the right choice for you.  New Student Orientation is available in an "In-Person" format and an interactive "Online" format.  New Student Orientation (NSO) is mandatory for all new degree-seeking students.  Students must complete NSO before you can register for classes.

In-Person New Student Orientation (NSO)

In-person New Student Orientation (NSO) programs last about 3 hours. Participating in campus tours, interacting with our Orientation Leaders, and attending information sessions will answer your questions, connect you to campus resources, and prepare you for a smooth start to your college career. Students must register for a specific NSO program by completing the online Registration Form.  Students should click on the campus they would like to attend New Student Orientation and fill out the online form.

Online New Student Orientation (NSO)

MC’s interactive, Online New Student Orientation offers students a different option to learn the information presented during the In-Person Orientation Sessions. To participate in the Online Student Orientation, simply click on the link. You may complete the Online NSO in one sitting or break it up into smaller segments. Students are responsible for knowing the material covered in the Online Orientation Program. Once you click the link, have your MyMC login information ready to begin.

New Student Welcome Fairs
Student Life would like to welcome all new students to all three campuses on Friday, August 25, 2017.  New students will be able to take a tour of the campus, meet and receive information from campus departments, and meet students, faculty and staff that will make sure all questions are answered and that all of our new students feel ready for the first day of classes.  A lunch BBQ will be provided to all new students along with giveaways.  To register to attend, please see the registration links below for each campus.
