Why Enroll in MTAP? Three Reasons:

  1. Students who meet the qualifications of the Maryland Transfer Advantage Program Page are guaranteed admission to UM (this guarantee excludes Limited Enrollment Programs - LEP's).  See the MTAP Page for full details.
    2.  Students establish contact with a UMCP-based MTAP representative who will connect them with admissions activities and departmental advising opportunities while enrolled at MC.
    3.  Students can take courses not offered at MC at UM through the MTAP reduced tuition course offer (one course per semester while enrolled at MC).  This allows students to stay on track by meeting their major's freshman & sophomore course requirements through concurrent enrollment at MC and UM.
