Online Academic Orientation

Welcome to Montgomery College.

If you have been directed to this page by the counseling department, the online academic orientation will help you plan your course work and register for classes.  It will:

  • Provide you with a basic overview of course planning at Montgomery College.
  • Provide you with your initial course placements in English and math.  Course placements will need to be verified by a counselor at your first academic advising appointment.

There are a few things you should know before you start the orientation:

  • The orientation is only for new incoming students who have applied and been accepted to Montgomery College.
  • Do this orientation only after you have taken the Accuplacer or Accuplacer ESL placement exam or have submitted to the Admissions Office an official SAT, ACT, TOEFL or IELTS score which meets the College's minimum qualifying score for college level readiness in reading.
  • The orientation will take 30 minutes to complete, and you will need access to audio on the device you use.

When you're ready to begin the orientation, sign in here.
