MC LEADS is a leadership-development program designed especially for Montgomery College students and is coordinated by the Rockville Campus, Office of Student Life. Through this program, students will explore many facets of leadership. Participation will gain a deeper understanding of what it means to transform into a successful leader on an individual, group or community level. This program will incorporate presentations, group discussions, guest speakers, readings, simulations, team-building exercises, service projects and assignments as we explore the Social Change Model of Leadership Development.

To be eligible to participate you must:
-Be a current Montgomery College student for Fall 2016
-Have a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.0 (New students and Transfer students GPA will be waived)
-Be a matriculated student enrolled in a minimum of six college credits, not have any holds, be on probation, dismissal or had their matriculation status rescinded.
-Be able to commit attendance to ALL sessions with designated cohort, leadership retreat, conference and day of service.
-Fully complete the online application by September 20, 2016 at 5pm.

MC LEADS is a semester long program and the participants selected MUST be available on the following dates and times:
-Every Thursday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. beginning September 29th through December 8, 2016.
-All-day leadership retreat from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Oct. 15
All-day leadership conference, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Oct. 21
-All-day service project, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. in Nov. (TBA)
