Welcome to the Geology Program in the Department of Natural Sciences, Germantown Campus of Montgomery College.
At present, we offer Physical Geology (GL101), a laboratory-based science course that covers diverse topics basic to a study of the earth, including minerals and rocks, earthquakes, volcanoes, rivers, groundwater, coastlines, and climate change. This is a course designed for science majors and non-majors alike, and is ideal for anyone who would like to understand environmental issues and hazards that humanity is facing today. Physical Geology is offered as a late morning class in the Fall semester, and as an evening class during the Spring semester.
If you have any questions about the course or about pursuing a major in earth sciences, please do not hesitate to contact our faculty to discuss your plans. We will be delighted to speak with you.
