Service Learning

Making a Difference Begins With You...So Start Today

The Service Learning program facilitates service experiences for students completing a course assignment of volunteer service or students who wish to fulfill an interest, gain work experience, or explore possible careers while serving their community and address a range of issues and community-defined needs at the same time. Service Learning staff work with faculty who wish to include in courses a service component that effectively meets a learning objective.

The Service Learning staff provide consultation, placement in local organizations, support in and outside the classroom, designs and creates both individual and group projects between non-profit agencies and students & faculty. Service activities are on and off campus and options are to serve for a day, a week, or a semester at a time.

"Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too."  ~  Albert Schweitzer
