WELCOME NEW INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:

International Student Orientation: is mandatory/required. 

TAKOMA PARK/SILVER SPRING CAMPUS STUDENTS: Thursday, August 17th 10:00am to 1:00pm in Student Center (ST) room 328 on the Takoma Park/Silver Spring campus.

GERMANTOWN and ROCKVILLE CAMPUS STUDENTS:  Thursday, August 24th 1:00-5:00pm (check in from 12:30 for a light lunch, consider joining our International Student Connections group for Pizza after Orientation (to make more friends).  Join us on the ROCKVILLE campus, in the Theater Arts Arena (TA) building.  

**Students should bring an I-20, their Passport and a Smartphone to Orientation (if possible)

NOTES:

GERMANTOWN students should ALSO ATTEND an In Person Orientation (if possible) AUGUST 8, 2017 9:00am -12:00noon in HT216

INVITATIONS TO THE "WELCOME PARTY" WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE ORIENTATION MEETINGS 

ESL (WDCE) NON-CREDIT ENGLISH STUDENTS must come to our International Orientations!!  The ESL department will also host an Orientation and we will remind students about F-1 status there to be sure they understand what they need.   

"International Orientation" is REQUIRED for F-1 students to understand their Visa Status and how to use the International Coordinator's offices.  

*Of course, always check the website and discuss any questions you have about the college and your F-1 status with your International Coordinator!!


Proving your legal status after you enter the United States.  

The information about your legal status in the United States (on your current visit) and how long you may stay is on the date entry stamp in your passport. You should also print out an I-94 record for your records at https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov.

If you have any problem printing, or something is wrong with your I-94 card, you may need to visit BWI airport to fix it.

Outside of normal hours, they will try to help you (if you call first) but will also be meeting arriving flights.
