WELCOME NEW STUDENTS:
For Fall 2016 There are TWO Orientations that F-1 students attend:
1)New Student Orientation: is for ALL degree seeking students. You must do Orientation to register. You can do the on-line version at www.montgomerycollege.edu/FYE so you can choose classes. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND you ALSO do the IN-PERSON orientation to help you get to know your campus and to meet people.
IN PERSON New Student Orientations (remember to sign up on line) are:
Rockville and Takoma Park/Silver Spring: Tuesday, January 12,
Germantown: Thursday January 21, 2016, 5:00pm-8:00pm -- HT 216
2) International Student Orientation: is mandatory/required. International Orientations will be:
January 14th, 2016 10:00am to12:00noon for TAKOMA PARK/SILVER SPRING CAMPUS students. Location: to be determined
January 20th, 2016 GERMANTOWN CAMPUS. Time and Location to be finalized. Expected 1:30-4:30pm HT 216
January 21st, 2016 ROCKVILLE CAMPUS 2:00-6:00PM (dinner opportunity immediately after) Faculty Staff Dining Room. (@ CC Building, Next to the cafeteria)
Students should bring Passport and Smartphone to Orientations (if possible)
"International Orientation" is required for F-1 students to understand their Visa Status and how to use the International Coordinator's offices

Step 2: Click on Startfish logo
Step 3 Click on Advising Questionnaire link
Step 4: Answer the questions and click on submit
*Of course, always check the website and discuss any questions you have about the College and your F-1 status with your International Coordinator's Office!!
Proving your legal status after you enter the United States
The information about your legal status in the United States (on your current visit) and how long you may stay is on the date entry stamp in your passport. You should also print out an I-94 record for your records at https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov
If you have any problem printing, or something is wrong with your I-94 card, you may need to visit BWI airport to fix it.
