Steps to Enroll in the ELAP 

1. Complete an application for admission to Montgomery College online or in the Admissions office at the campus you wish to attend.

2. After admissions, students who are nonnative speakers of English should register for and take the Accuplacer ESL test in the Assessment Center.

***Before you begin your ELAP program, you may repeat the ESL placement test multiple times, but not during the same testing period (October-January, March-May, June-August).

 

3. Attend the IMAP (Advising and Placement session) to receive your placement scores. Information about the time and location of these sessions will be given to you when you take the test. You may also want to meet with a counselor individually.

4. Register for your ELAP courses online or get help at the Welcome Center on your campus.
