2012 Maryland Science Bowl Competition

January 9, 2012

Montgomery College will again host the Maryland High School Regional National Science Bowl Competition at Montgomery College's Rockville Campus in January 2012.

The National Science Bowl® is a highly visible educational event and academic competition among teams of high school students who attend science seminars and compete in a verbal forum to solve technical problems and answer questions in all branches of science and math. The regional and national events encourage student involvement in math and science activities, improve awareness of career options in science and technology, and provide an avenue of enrichment and reward for academic science achievement.

Coaches should review information about NSB on the high school coach web page.   You will find information about the competition as well as sample questions.

Please, also see the High School Rules, Forms, and Resources web page which includes parental consent forms and medical forms for all participants.

The guest speaker will be Mike Menzel – NASA - James Webb Space Telescope Mission Systems Engineer.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Michael Mehalick
