PHYSICS & ASTRONOMY
Physicists and astronomers study the nature of the universe, ranging
from the vastness of outer space to the smallest of subatomic particles, based upon fundamental principles. These principles form the foundations of modern science. The study of such fundamental principles broadens the horizons of science. It leads to new research into
exciting technologies, the design of better experimental methods of measurement, and fascinating predictive theories of yet-to-be observed phenomena. Physicists and astronomers can deepen our understanding of how things in the universe work, and catapult the real world of scientific innovation toward infinite possibilities.
