Michelle Brink, Administrative Aide II
Michelle has a Bachelor of Science degree in Digital Media and Web Technologies from University of Maryland/University College, as well as an A.A. degree in Television and an A.A.S. in Web Design, both from Montgomery College. Michelle joined the MA&T Department staff in October of 2007. Previously she worked in the healthcare field for fifteen years.
John Hoover, Instructional Lab Coordinator
John came on board as the Instructional Lab Coordinator for the Photography Department in August of 2011. Before that, he served as Director of Photography at The Metropolitan Center for the Visual Arts (VisArts), a non-profit community arts center located in Rockville, Maryland. He expanded the photography education program by organizing classes, workshops, and seminars led by internationally renowned photographers. For his work at VisArts John was awarded the 2007 Excellence in the Arts and Humanities Award by the Montgomery County Arts and Humanities Council, recognizing the contributions he made in improving the Photography Department to the point of national recognition among professional photographers and industry specialists. He also served as a part-time professor for Montgomery College's Photography Department for 4 years.
Brian Mason, Macintosh Lab Coordinator
Brian is the Lab Coordinator for the MA&T computing facilities. He has an A.A. degree from Prince Georges College and has a Graphic Design Certificate from the Maryland College of Art and Design. Brian is also an Apple Certified Support Professional. He has served as a Part-Time Professor for the School of Art & Design on the Takoma Park Campus, and has also taught for the Maryland Institute of Art and the Corcoran School of Design. He is currently teaching for the Boston University Center for Digital Imaging in Washington D.C. and also pursuing a Bachelor's degree at UMUC.
