Building and Construction Technology
Building and Construction Technology training provides students with a comprehensive mixture of academic and practical training in areas of residential building. Coursework is laboratory intensive complemented with additional classroom studies. Career paths include carpenter, plumber, electrician, HVAC technician, trade supervisors, code officials and builders. Montgomery College is a member of the Registered Apprenticeship-College Consortium. Montgomery College is a registered training provider for the NABCEP® entry level PV exam. Apprenticeship-related instruction programs include such trades as: Carpentry, Drywall, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Plumbing, Sprinklerfitting, and Steamfitting.
