1. Who is eligible for Tuition Waiver?
Dependents and spouses of regular full-time, regular part-time, full-time temporary with benefits employees and part-time temporary with benefits employees are eligible for tuition waiver. Dependents and spouses of casual temporary employees, and part-time faculty are not eligible.

2. Must I prove dependent spousal status?
Yes. In order for the Tuition Waiver to be processed for a dependent, you must provide to Office of Human Resources, Development, and Engagement (HRDE) a copy of the dependent’s birth certificate. In order for the Tuition Waiver to be processed for a spouse, you must provide a copy of a marriage certificate.

3. May my dependent or spouse apply for a Tuition Waiver for the same course more than once?
A dependent or spouse may repeat courses using Tuition Waiver only if he/she dropped the course without a grade, withdrew from a course with a grade W or received a grade higher than an F. Courses in which a dependent or spouse received an F grade may not be taken again under Tuition Waiver.

4. How many courses may my dependent/spouse take under Tuition Waiver?
There is no limit to the number of courses your dependent/spouse may take using Tuition Waiver.

5. When does my dependent/spouse become eligible to utilize Tuition Waiver?
Dependents/spouses are eligible to use Tuition Waiver immediately after the employee begins working in an eligible position.

6. When should my dependent/spouse register for courses?
Your dependent/spouse must register for courses before the Tuition Waiver request is submitted.

7. Does my dependent/spouse have to pay the tuition up front and then be reimbursed?
No. The tuition will be applied to your dependent/spouse student account before the delete process begins.

8. What about the fees?
Dependents/spouses are not reimbursed by the College for fees. These should be paid directly either on-line with a credit card or at the cashiers office.

9. What if my dependent/spouse schedule changes?
If your dependent/spouse makes any changes to his/her class schedule, please notify Office of Human Resources, Development, and Engagement (HRDE) as soon as possible so the Tuition Waiver application can be updated.
