Did you know that 1 out of every 10 people admitted to the hospital needs a blood transfusion? But only 1 out of every 3 Americans is even eligible to donate blood. That's why the Office of Student Life and student coordinators host frequent Red Cross Blood Drives on the Rockville Campus.
Each drive collects about 30 units, enough to save an average of 10 people's lives.
Faculty, staff, and students can schedule an appointment online or drop in to give blood at an upcoming drive. Registrations usually open 3-4 weeks before a drive.
