Transferring to Four-Year Schools: Understanding the Process This workshop will focus on the process of planning for transferring to a four-year college/university and taking vantage of opportunities that position you well for scholarships upon transfer.  Specific topics include researching transfer options, being involved on and off campus, seeking recommendation letters and planning.
Winning Résumés - Get Prepared to Win Scholarships for College Your résumé must convince the reviewers to invest scholarship dollars in you.  Know what key areas make you stand out with the selection committee.  Discover the basic guidelines to make your résumé professional, precise, and perfect.  Emphasize your academic and extracurricular achievements.  Discover how to format your résumé to "win" the dollars.

College Scholarships for Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) Students

The STEM Scholarships Discussion Panel will feature representatives from colleges, universities, and non-profit organizations that administer or offer undergraduate scholarships for students pursuing degrees in the science, technology, engineering, or mathematics fields.  These representatives will each briefly describe their associated undergraduate STEM scholarship programs.  There will be a brief opportunity for questions and answers at the end of the panel discussion.

UMBC – University of Maryland, Baltimore County Scholarships and Funding Opportunities

This session will discuss the college search and application process briefly, and focus on financing higher education. General information will be shared relating to need-based aid application, with the better part of the presentation addressing scholarship search opportunities from institutions, the state, and private donors. Specific information will be shared related to UMBC scholarship opportunities.

The Universities at Shady Grove (USG): A Cost Effective Option, Scholarships and Financial Aid

This session will explore the scholarship opportunities and financial aid for students enrolled in or planning to enroll in a program at the Universities of Shady Grove (USG).  All USG students are transfer students, and all USG scholarships are intended for this population.  Scholarships range from textbook scholarships to full in-state tuition and fees and are available to everyone, including international students.  Check out the nine-partner universities and the 70+ programs at the USG campus, scholarship opportunities and financial aid during this session.
MCPS - If I Knew Then, What I Know Now! College and Financial Aid Planning from a Parent's Perspective The financial aid and scholarship process can be a very overwhelming experience.  This presentation will show parents and students how working as a team may help this process become less stressful.
MC - Paying Your Way: An Overview of Student Financial Aid Programs This presentation provides an overview of the financial aid application process, including information about federal, state, institutional and private financial aid programs.  The presentation will also including information on financial aid applications, deadlines and online resources for students and parents.
