Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS), Version 6 - NURSING
All applicants applying to the Physical Therapist Assistant Program are required to take the TEAS as part of the application process.
The ATI TEAS is a timed computer-based multiple-choice assessment used by the Health Sciences Institute and Center at Montgomery College to evaluate the academic preparedness of entry-level health sciences students in:
- Reading Comprehension
- English and Language Usage
*There are 170 multiple-choice questions. Test-takers are allotted 209 minutes (approximately 3 hours and 29 minutes) to complete the exam.
Reading Comprehension: 53 questions; 64 minutes
- Key ideas and details
- Craft and structure
- Integration of knowledge and ideas
| English and Language Usage: 28 questions; 28 minutes
- Conventions of standard English
- Knowledge of language
- Vocabulary acquisition
Science: 53 questions; 63 minutes

Applicants are strongly encouraged to engage in a comprehensive review of the content covered on the TEAS. There are many materials and resources that applicants can use to prepare. The TEAS, Version 6 study manual provides instructional material, practice problems and two comprehensive practice tests.
