8.1  Customize the Header Area on Department Templates

The department header area automatically appears at the top of all pages that use a department template (e.g., department.aspx, department2.aspx, department3.aspx).  The header area contains three parts:

Department Header Area

Each part of the header area is a separate content block provided in your department folder.

Department Banner Image

  1. Open in edit mode the content block named "Department Banner Image."
  2. Insert your banner image in the content block (in place of the gray placeholder image).
  3. Publish the content block.

Department Title

  1.  Open in edit mode the content block named "Department Title."
  2. Enter your department name in the text field.  If you do not want a department title to display, leave the field blank instead.

Department Subtitle

  1. Open in edit mode the content block named "Department SubTitle."
  2. Enter your department subtitle in the text field.  If you do not want a department subtitle to display, leave the field blank instead.

PLEASE NOTE:  Do not change the titles of the header area content blocks (e.g., Department Banner Image, Department Title, Department SubTitle) or the content will not display.
