Macklin Business Institute (MBI)
The Macklin Business Institute (MBI) at Montgomery College was founded in 1999 with a gift from late Gordon and Marilyn Macklin, long-time supporters of the Montgomery College Foundation. Mr. Macklin, founder of NASDAQ and Bethesda resident, envisioned and established a distinctive honors program for students pursuing a business education. MBI students typically transfer to top business schools, including Georgetown University, Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, Cornell University, and the University of Pennsylvania. The program added a two-year option in fall 2008, to serve more business students. MBI Program Needs:
- Scholarships for Macklin Business Institute students
- Equipment for student use (e.g., laptop computers)
- Experiential learning opportunities and travel expenses (e.g., business competitions requiring travel)
For every dollar you give (between now and June 2015) to the Macklin Business Institute honors program, the Gordon S. and Marilyn C. Macklin Foundation will give a dollar to match your donation. Your gift will directly support students in the program. www.montgomerycollege.edu/onlinegiving
