DIRECTIONS & PARKING
Our 500 seat theatre (Theatre I) is equipped with a large number of accessible seats. Many of our events are rentals and we do not control those sales. However, when the CAC is selling tickets for events accessible seats are booked exclusively by the box office. If you have already purchased seats and would like to exchange them for accessible seating, then you must call the box office directly at 240-567-5775. This type of seating is held back from general sales until 30 minutes prior to show time. In the case of close-to-capacity performance sales, those seats are released last to general sales. Accessible parking is located immediately adjacent to the building in the W-1 lot.

We do not currently charge for parking for events; however, parking is free for events only FROM ONE HOUR PRIOR TO SHOWTIME to a short time after the event has concluded.
You must park legally in student spaces from one hour prior to curtain. If you are parked in an illegal space you will be ticketed. We don't want you to have a ticketing surprise when you return to your car, so please do not park in those spaces that are pre-labeled, with Faculty-Staff, President, Dean, "reserved", or accessible parking designations (unless you have the permit to park there); you will be ticketed. Cars must also be between two official parking space lines. Be aware that "creating" a space by parking on the end of rows will put your car in a fire lane, blocks emergency vehicles, and is never acceptable.
For parking, enter campus complex via King Street or Jessup Blair Drive from Georgia Avenue.
There are also a number of County owned "Public" parking facilities within walking distance of the facility. These are subject to regulation outside of Montgomery College.
Acceptable Parking Places When Attending a Performance
WEST PARKING GARAGE: Enter via Jessup Blair Drive (quicker) or King Street, drive straight then turn into garage. ENTER-- Public Parking garage entrance (not faculty staff entrance). After parking, take the King Street elevator at the north end of the structure, and it's a very short walk to the CAC up King Street. Remember: student spaces only.
W-1 LOT: It is located directly behind the CAC. Enter via King Street (quicker) or Jessup Blair Drive. If entering via Jessup Blair, continue around underneath the far end of the parking garage.
.Parking for Renters/Artists
Parking Violations will be issued for any vehicle not displaying the appropriate permit OR parked in spaces marked pre-labeled with designations of Faculty / Staff, President, Dean, "reserved", or accessible parking (unless you have the permit to park there). If the 6th floor is full, then parking may overflow down the ramp to the 5th level. Each of the upper parking levels has 5 Faculty/Staff spaces as well as Handicap spaces next to each elevator. All other spaces will be available for patrons to use during the scheduled show times. The open air lot directly behind the facility holds approximately 80 spaces, though some are reserved as handicap spaces or for designated college personnel. NEVER park in the President's space.
Parking during Rehearsals
All parking for guests during rehearsal dates will be on the 6th floor of the West Garage. These dates and usage times are specified in the contract and are forwarded to the Campus Security office. Permits will be given to the coordinator of your event for your use. During the scheduled hours of the rehearsal, no parking tickets will be issued to any vehicle properly parked and permitted on the 6th floor of the West Garage.
Parking during the Performance(s)
During performance dates, ticketing will be suspended one hour prior to the scheduled show time and will resume one hour after scheduled load out time. If there are classes being held during your event, many of these parking spaces will be occupied by students and employees of the College.
Individuals who wish to load or unload any items which are necessary for a performance may do so from our Loading dock. Vehicles may not be left in the dock.
